Milwaukee is a city beautifully blended with tradition and progression. It has invested $2.5 billion for tourism and convention production. This expansion began with the Midwest Airlines Center, an incredible convention center that unites artwork and technology. This development cost $170 million and is found in the downtown area.

• Miller Park: In 2001, two exciting projects in the city were completed, Miller Park and the Milwaukee Art Museum. The Milwaukee Brewers now find themselves in a new ballpark designed with natural grass and a retractable roof. Brewers’ fans have the pleasure of a great location and a place that brings together an older feel with newer amenities to watch their favorite baseball team! They can even enjoy tailgating along the Menomonee River. At the opening of the park in April, the Brewers played in front of a sellout crowd. Total cost of Miller Park was around $400 million.

• The Milwaukee Art Museum: The Milwaukee Art Museum, named as the Best Design of 2001 by Time Magazine, is definitely something for Milwaukeeans to brag about. The renovation in 2001 was designed by the famous Santiago Calatrava and is the first he has done in the United States. This architectural gem sets on the lakefront and is entered by walking through a pavilion and pedestrian bridge that connects to O’Donnell Park. A grand sunscreen that looks much like a bird that is going into flight when it is open is over this pavilion and is a must-see of Wisconsin! The renovation on the museum also included Cudahy Gardens. This addition includes a 300 seat auditorium, a restaurant, and a public area with fountains.

• Harley Davidson Museum: Harley Davidson enthusiasts from all around the world will have a grand ol’ time in the beautiful city of Milwaukee. The Harley Davidson Museum is another upcoming project on the list and is estimated at $30 million. This museum will include exhibits taking you from the past to the present, including classics to recent Harleys. Presentations will also take you through the Harley Davidson history and way of life.

• More Projects: Other developments include the Potawatomi Bingo Casino, William F. Eisner Museum of Advertising and Design, Wisconsin Lake Schooner Project, and the Riverwalk.
