You will likely have one or two meetings with your wedding coordinator to discuss the details of your ceremony and reception. It is important for you to think through your ideas thoroughly beforehand so you can best communicate what you want.

Logistics
Some of the major things to consider are the processional, recessional, and the arrangement of the wedding party during the ceremony. There are many different ways to do this, and your coordinator may have some suggestions based on the size of the facility, the aisle, and the stage.

Wedding Details
You should also inform your coordinator about various details, so he or she can act on your behalf on the wedding day. For instance, if you have requested a particular type of flower for your reception table centerpieces and the florist arrives with something different, your wedding coordinator can be the one to address the situation and make sure it is corrected. The bride and groom should not have to deal with such issues on the wedding day, and the wedding coordinator can field them for you if they know what your expectations are.

Reception Details
In regard to the reception, you should discuss how and when you want the wedding party introduced because the wedding coordinator will work with the band or DJ to make this happen. If you are having a receiving line, the coordinator will arrange how the people will flow into the facility and work to move the line along at a good pace. You should discuss how the food will be served and let the coordinator know how you want it done. Tell them how long you expect to stay at the reception, because he or she will be the one to help you with your departure.
