How to Choose the Right Online ASP?

ASPs offer nearly any type of product or service. Some of the applications or services they offer are critical to the operation of many companies. You therefore have to be sure the ASP you are considering can satisfy your requirements for what you need. Here are points you need to consider when looking for an ASP:  

 

·        How can you access the software? What method will they provide you to access the application or service? Is it going to go through a browser or do you actually get an application to install on your system?

·        If there are problems how do you resolve them? If during your course of using the application or service, you run into a problem. Will the ASP have technical support or customer service available to help you resolve your problem?

·        How safe and secure is the data? Does the ASP have security policies in place? For example, do they provide you with a username and password if you have to access their applications online by way of a web page? Is their server protected from hackers and other malicious attacks?

·        Who owns the data? No matter what, the customer is supposed to own their own data. But despite this, this information should still be listed in the contract.
