Across the country, the current real estate market is beginning to stabilize and offer time to sellers and buyers alike. The Virginia real estate market is also very stable at this time, even coming out of the winter which is usually a slower season. Although Virginia is made up of several very different regions, all of them seem to be pleasantly balanced. Some of the key real estate areas in Virginia right now are:
• Tidewater/Hampton Roads. Probably because of the warm weather, real estate here is strong and growing.
• Northern Virginia. With rising interest rates, activity is booming.
• Western Virginia. This is currently a seller’s market. With prices that are rising for exceptional profits but few extra properties coming open, the current market is strong, though the future is slightly uncertain.
• Central Virginia. Recently named American’s 11th “Hottest City” by Expansion Management Magazine, this region is currently very exciting for real estate owners and buyers.
