The first day of your trip you will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City was formerly known as Saigon but was renamed for Ho Chi Minh, the country’s most famous leader, who passed away in 1969. You will need to fly into Tan Son Nhat International Airport, which is located just a few miles north of the city.

On this, the first day of your vacation, have your cab take you to your hotel, and spend the day resting and seeing the sites around your hotel. Many of the sites you will want to see will be within walking distance of your hotel…Find them and check them out.
