This is one exhibition I myself have visited and I do highly recommend you book time to visit, prices are very reasonable and you get good value for money because it lasts a good few hours but you can take as long as you want.

How would it feel to live in the Victorian era? One part of the exhibition has a real cobbled street with lifelike shops that would have been around during this era. What were prisons like? Another part of the exhibition showcases a sample of the types of cells such people like Dick Turpin would have lived in whilst waiting trial/execution.

These are just two exhibits you will see and there is a lot more to visit overall with cafes on hand just in case you get hungry. There is no need to book ahead but for large groups, it will prove essential. You can contact the museum on +44 (01904) 687687 for any information you may require about the museum or making a booking.
