AM and PM Activity
There are many wonderful historic buildings throughout York and the surrounding areas but one place you should really pay a visit to is Fairfield House. Owned by the National Trust it showcases the excellent architectural design and outstanding rooms this great house has to offer.
Monday to Thursday you will be able to look around the house at your own pace and take in the history of Fairfield House and on Friday it is guided tours only. It may be best to take part in the guided tour because it takes you through the vital information of times past. If you have any queries then you can contact the house on 01904 655543.
Lunch
The Black Swan pub in Peasholme Green is one of the oldest buildings in York and it an outstanding family pub that offers excellent home cooked food in a friendly atmosphere. Meals are served Monday to Saturday between 12pm – 2pm.
Dinner
Deliro’s, 10 Blossom Street in York remains a firm favorite and offers an excellent choice of pizza and pastas, prices are a little expensive and portions can be smaller than most places but you can guarantee a great service and it may be best to book ahead.
