Even though the whole Robin Hood story is associated with Sherwood Forest in Nottingham it is believed that Robin Hood’s associate Little John was believed to be born in the Derbyshire area.

People have said that his grave was uncovered and astonishingly was over 10 feet in length but it was never confirmed because when the grave was moved and the body exhumed, bad things started to happen and was immediately returned to the final resting place.
