AM and PM Activity
For children and adults alike, no trip is complete without a visit to Edinburgh Zoo because it is not all history. There are many different species of animals to see and this will prove enjoyable and relaxing for the entire family.
The website of the Zoo gives you details of the animals available to see on the day of your visit and may answer any other queries that you may have. http://www.edinburghzoo.org.uk
Prices will vary – costs are £10 for adults and £7 for children but you can get a family ticket which starts from £32. Discounts are available and all entry fees paid will include a donation to new exhibits the zoo will be showcasing. There are facilities available for a small lunch whilst visiting and there are also play areas for younger children.
Dinner
Henderson’s eatery found on Hanover Street, it has been in business for over 40 years and provides a wide range of healthy, vegetarian and vegan choices. They promote GM free produce and are very particular on what ingredients are used. Open 7 days a week, they offer plenty of salads and wines. There is no need to book ahead but if possible, I would. The email address for Henderson’s is info@hendersonsofedinburgh.co.uk.
