Day Four

An ideal activity that the family should participate in during their break is a hike along the Peak District hills. Hikes will vary from 1 mile to about 15 miles but there are dedicated routes for these trips. The Tissington Trail is an excellent choice which will see you cross rivers and hills. It is a modest 13 miles walk/bike ride but you can take your time and enjoy the views all around you, whilst on the Tissington trail, it is an ideal place to settle down and have a picnic.

 

For some evenings, you may prefer a meal that makes it feel like you’re at home but without the work. The Anglers Rest in Bamford is an excellent choice with a varied menu and outstanding choice of fine ales. It is very child friendly and all visitors will be made to feel welcome.
