Pets on Holiday

It is becoming more common for families to take their pets on holiday with them but staying in hotels or bed and breakfasts do make this very difficult.

Ideally, I would put any pets in a kennels or cattery but if you feel that they cannot be left alone then usually the best choice would be to take a tent and have a camping holiday.

If camping is not your thing, there are some hotels that do allow pets but it is uncommon and if they do allow them, there will be extra costs involved to accommodate them.

If you are taking pets then always try and book well ahead and the number one rule is to be honest from the start and say that you have pets. There is no point trying to sneak them in because it is impossible and secondly, you could be evicted from the accommodation for doing it.

Top Tip: The internet should be able to provide a good insight to places that will accept pets but if you are unable to find anywhere then contact the local tourist agency for more details. To make life easier for everyone, put any pets in a kennels etc because it will make it a lot simpler and without unnecessary worries.
