If you want to stay near the theaters, Market Square, Old City, and many other activities, downtown has a nice selection of lodging choices.

Full-Service Hotels
• The Crowne Plaza Hotel – This three star hotel is located in downtown Knoxville, 20 minutes from the McGhee Tyson Airport. The Crowne Plaza is within walking distance of the Old City and Market Square areas, over 30 restaurants, nightclubs, and plenty of shopping. There are 197 guest rooms, the Mahogany’s restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a Starbucks where you can get your favorite coffee. There is a 3000 square foot gym where you have access to state of the art cardio and weight equipment. There is an indoor heated swimming pool, gift shop, and 24 hour business center available for your use. The Crowne Plaza contains over 15,000 square feet of meeting space making it the perfect place for your business meetings, conventions, or receptions. Room rates range from $99 to $159 per night.
• Holiday Inn Select – This three star hotel is located at the Worlds’ Fair Park which is home of the 1982 World’s Fair. The Holiday Inn Select is connected to the Knoxville Convention and Exhibition Center making it a very convenient place to stay if you are in town for a business convention. Within walking distance of the Holiday Inn Select Hotel are the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Museum of Art, Fort Kid, and the Candy Factory. The Market Square and Old City districts are also within walking distance giving you access to restaurants, clubs, and terrific shopping. Renovated in 2004, the Holiday Inn Select Hotel features 293 guest rooms, an indoor swimming pool, and business center. Godfrey’s Restaurant is located in the lobby and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Pub at Henley Square is also located within the hotel and serves an all American menu from noon until 11:00 p.m. daily. An average room rate is $93.00 per night.
• Cumberland House Hotel – Located in the Fort Sanders Historic District, the Cumberland House Hotel is convenient to the City Trolley Line. The Cumberland House is 20 minutes from the McGhee Tyson Airport and within walking distance to the Knoxville Convention Center, University of Tennessee, and the Knoxville Museum of Art. A few of the amenities included are Crabtree & Evelyn personal care packages, high speed wireless Internet, workstations with ergonomic chairs, in-room coffee, and a daily newspaper. MK’s restaurant is located in the hotel and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Limited Service Hotels:
• Super 8 Knoxville Downtown West – Located approximately 16 miles from the McGhee Tyson Airport. The Super 8 Knoxville offers for your enjoyment a swimming pool, exercise room, cable television, dataports, coffee and pastries, and 24 hour desk service.
• Hotel St. Oliver – Located at Market Square in downtown Knoxville. This boutique hotel was originally a bakery, confectionery, and ice cream parlor in 1870. It became a hotel in 1982 for the World’s Fair. It offers 24 unique rooms decorated in period furniture and décor. It is a short walk to the University of Tennessee, Convention Center, Old City, and many other attractions and restaurants. Breakfast is included and served in the Library which is a space for private meetings or small parties. Rates range from $55 to $210 depending on the size of the room.

Bed and Breakfast:
• Brimer House Inn Bed & Breakfast – Located in the historic Old North area of Knoxville. The Brimer House was built in 1909 as a single family residence and has been restored. It is full of antiques, family heirlooms, and period reproductions. The Brimer House Inn Bed and Breakfast is located within one mile of all downtown attractions in a neighborhood that has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are three guest rooms and each comes with a private entrance and a private bath. Each bedroom comes with a king or queen rice bed, down comforters, data ports, cable television, and a morning newspaper. You will be treated to a full gourmet breakfast, and hot and cold beverages are available throughout the day along with complementary fruit and snacks. There is a complementary airport shuttle available. Rates are from $125 to $150 per night.
• Maplehurst Inn – Located at 800 West Hill Avenue in Maplehurst Park in downtown Knoxville. The Maplehurst Inn was built in 1917 as a family home. The home was updated in 1982 and converted into a bed and breakfast for the World’s Fair. The Maplehurst Inn is a three block walk to the Convention Center, Courthouse, City Hall, and several fine restaurants. From the backyard of the Maplehurst Inn you can see the Tennessee River. This bed and breakfast offers a great view of the Labor Day fireworks display, called the Boom’s Day. There are eleven unique rooms with private baths. Several of the rooms include Jacuzzi tubs and all include cable television and wireless Internet. There is a full breakfast buffet for your enjoyment. There is a meeting or reception area that can accommodate up to 30 guests. Rates run from $79 to $149 per night.
