While Switzerland is not known to be popular for its music, 20th century composers Arthur Honegger, Othmar Schoeck, and Frank Martin have all received international acclaim. The city of Lucerne holds an annual international music festival. There are other places in Switzerland with similar music festivals, from country and western to pop and jazz. Probably Switzerland’s most well known music festival is the Montreux Jazz Festival.
