Forests, vineyards, orchards, and ponds attract sun lovers in the summers of Valais. Mountains seem to stretch impossibly high and the Rhone River snakes throughout the land like a ribbon. Winter brings in the skiers, because from the Rhone glacier to Lake Geneva, there are over 50 four-thousand-meter peaks. Visitors also enjoy walking on scenic paths and tobogganing across the hills and into the valleys.
