In the suburb of Meyrin sits Le Jardin Alpin, an interesting park that is ideal for children to explore. It is home to a rock garden, a pond with unusual water plants, and a caged area containing chickens, ducks, and goats. There is a spectacular rose-shaped rose garden planted in the center of the park. Le Jardin Alpin also houses a villa that exhibits contemporary art including sculpture, engraving, pottery, weaving, and painting. Over 100 artists have featured their work in the villa since 1984. Le Jardin Alpin is free to the public.
