Previously known as Nykōping, Södermanland County is south of Stockholm and located on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Södermanland County is apart of a providence with the same name Södermanland Province. There are 9 municipalities that make up the county which has a population of 255,890 residents.
• Nykōping: Nykōping is the county seat of Södermanland County. The city has 49,575 residents living with in it. Nykōping was an industrial center in Sweden in the early 19th century. Now the city has over 3,000 companies many of those companies are relatively small having only 50 employees or less.
