· Liseberg Amusement Park: Liseberg Amusement Park is Sweden’s most visited attraction. Liseberg is a great way to spend a day while visiting Sweden. The park has thrill rides for daredevils such as the roller coaster Balder and the giant wheel ride known as Tornado just to name a few. There are also more tame rides for the younger visitors and those who are not so brave like bumper cars, a log ride, and a carousel for example. Liseberg also offers daily shows that appeal to all ages. There are 7 restaurants located in the park and several concession stands as well. Pass start at $35 for one day passes. · ICEHOTEL: A visit to Sweden’s famous ICEHOTEL is one thing that you don’t want to miss. This unique hotel is made completely out of ice and is rebuilt every year. All the ice used to make ICEHOTEL is used from the nearby River Torne which has a layer of meter thick ice on it during the winter months. While visiting the ICEHOTEL and touring the facility there are also several other activities you can enjoy like ice fishing, dog sledding, and snowmobile riding. Be sure you have a full day to devote to this adventure as well as the proper clothing such as warm shoes or boots, hat, gloves, thick clothing layers, and a very heavy coat. · Göthenburg: Göthenburg is the second largest city in the country of Sweden. The city is known for its restaurants, shopping, nightlife, as well as friendly locals. Several chefs in Göthenburg have won awards for their cooking. Avenyn St. is always a fun place to be with its outdoor restaurants and nightclubs. Göthenburg is also home to Sweden’s largest mall Nordstan which as numerous shops and boutiques inside. The city also offers The Art Museum and the Göthenburg Opera House.
· Stockholm Royal Palace: Home to the Swedish royal family, the Stockholm Royal Palace is the largest palace in the world still being used by a head of state. The royal palace grounds are home to the Royal Apartments, Hall of State, the Apartments of the Orders of Chivalry, the Treasury, and the Museum of Antiquities of Gustav III.
· Tour a Castle: The area around Lake Märlaren is home to several castles that are open for public tours. The castles give visitors a look into Swedish tradition as well as an up close view of their beautiful furniture and craftsmanship.
