The years of 793 and 1066 AD are considered to be the years of the Viking Age in Sweden and all across Scandinavia as well as Britain. The Vikings were explorers, traders, and warriors. There are several well known things about the Vikings many of them having to do with their violent nature, dirtiness, and their horned helmets. It is true that for the most part the Vikings were violent but there is no known historical data proving the use of horned helmets by Vikings. It has also been shown that the Vikings were actually clean people who had several grooming tools like combs, tweezers, and soap. The Vikings had two types of boats which were long ships and warships. By the 11th Century the Vikings were for the most part phased out by the growing trend of Christianity in Scandinavia.
