Most people in Sweden get their news from the newspaper. In fact, Swedes are some of the biggest newspaper readers in the world. Each town has a local newspaper and there are even evening newspapers in Sweden. Until recently there were only 2 local programmed television stations in Sweden. In 1887 TV3 started being broadcast from London and from there television has become more popular in Sweden with many homes now having either cable or satellite television.
