Some people would be perfectly happy to spend their short allotment of time lying on the beach with a good book and people watching most of the day. This is perfectly acceptable in Charleston and a great way to do this is by enjoying one of the spectacular beach resorts that are offered in the island communities of Kiawah, Isle of Palms, Folly Beach and others. The resorts have something for everyone, whether it is the beach, sporting activities, water activities, fine dining and kid’s programs. Most of the resorts on the islands offer Championship Golf courses that are kept in pristine condition and offer great views of the water and the city of Charleston. If this is the route you choose for your few days in Charleston, the resorts are designed so you won’t have to leave the resort to find anything – it is all right there at your fingertips. This includes great restaurant with local cuisine at most resorts, chartered tours, babysitting services and even shopping.
