Will you have children traveling with you? Don’t worry. There is plenty for them to do and see as well. Although a history lesson through the plantations, museums and tours would be very educational (and even enjoyable), it is noted that they will probably be seeking fun and adventure on their vacation. This can definitely be accomplished in Charleston.
Charleston is home to the South Carolina Aquarium which is the state’s largest and has some fascinating exhibits that would be enjoyed by all ages. The Aquarium is located at Aquarium Wharf which has other activities and attractions for kids as well.
If the weather is warm and the kids have water on their mind, Splash Island and Splash Zone is a great place for them. Located in Mount Pleasant, the water playground has geysers, waterfalls, slides and a recreational pool.
The Animal Forest at Charlestown Landing is also a great educational and entertaining experience for all ages.
