The dining options in Charleston are plentiful with several establishments full of home cooking the low country way. This is not a place to stick to a diet, as the food is wonderful, enticing and full of all the good stuff.
· 82 Queen: This fine-dining restaurant is located in a historic setting in Charleston’s French Quarter. Authentic low country cuisine is served with a unique and artistic presentation.
· A.W. Shuck’s: This is one that the locals have been frequenting for years to get the freshest seafood in a convenient location near The Market.
· Anson Restaurant: A restaurant where the food is inspired by the heritage of Charleston and mixes tradition with contemporary culinary trends.
· Charleston Grill: One of the most famous and popular restaurants in Charleston located downtown. The fresh local ingredients make the difference here with the charm and atmosphere its King Street location contributes.
· Grill 225: This four-star restaurant located in downtown offers wonderful steaks and fresh, quality seafood. The restaurant also has an outdoor bar on the roof that offers wonderful views of downtown Charleston.
· Hominy Grill: This is a great casual grill that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect traditional Southern dishes from this establishment.
· The Old Post Office Restaurant: This restaurant is located on Edisto Island just outside of Charleston. The fish is fresh and the food is one-of-a-kind, making the drive well worth it.
