Everything from ski boots, to skis, to ski poles, and even ski helmets are available to rent. If someone is planning on going skiing several times a year for several years or more, it might be more financially beneficial for him/her to purchase his/her own ski equipment. While ski equipment can be somewhat expensive, in the long run, it would be less expensive to purchase equipment than to continually rent equipment. This also provides the added comfort of knowing that you are the only person to have ever used this particular equipment. However, if this is a person’s first time or if a person can only go skiing once a year or once every couple of years, purchasing his/her own ski equipment is not necessary. The ski resort that the person travels to should provide options for renting all the ski equipment that would be needed.
