RV A/C

Unless you own an exceptionally long RV, you can easily get by with one air-conditioning unit. If your RV is over 35 feet long, you may need two units. Some of the newest RVs have small, almost undetectable central air systems.

It takes a lot of power to run an RV air-conditioning unit, so the A/C cannot run unless the RV is hooked up to electricity, usually on a campground or in an RV park, or unless the RV's generator is operating. Many campgrounds and parks do not provide enough power to run an A/C, so if you're traveling in warm climates, a generator is a good investment. Freestanding air conditioners are another option.+

RV air conditioners are easily installed and many are priced between $100 and $600. They can be purchased on the Internet or at an RV dealer.
