Remote Control Helicopters Overview

You and your son are outside in the backyard during a nice but hot summer day. You are working on the lawn and your son is playing with his toys. All of a sudden you hear this noise coming from above. You and your son look up and see this object spinning in a circle. You look down and see your next door neighbor has a control in his hand guiding it. He tells you it is a remote controlled helicopter. Now your son wants one. You know this would be a great gift to give him since he would have hours to play with it. But before you buy one you have to know more about them. If neither you nor your son ever had one before, the thought of having one may be of interest, but could prove to be a headache if you don’t know anything about them. Getting to know what remote control helicopters are and what is involved with owning one will prepare you for any eventuality. First things first. It would be a great idea to know what is behind or what makes the remote control helicopter work.  

 

·        Challenging: Helicopters are challenging to build and to operate. They are not easy to put together.  

·        Complex: They are rather complex. You need to master two skills: forward flight and hovering. On top of that you have to be alert at all times to what is going on or else.

·        What Helicopters Do: Anything that involves flying remote control helicopters will do it. You can get them to hover in one spot or have them fly backwards and even sideways. Helicopters will also do stall turns, loops, rolls, and whatever else you want them to do.
