» Why buy a pet bed?
Your little pet Sparky shivers as it waits for you to feed it, watching you pitifully as you pull on your wool socks one snowy morning.
Your pet can get cold in the wintertime. This can even happen with an indoor pet, particularly if your house has poor insulation; the floor is often colder than you realize, since your torso is a few feet off the floor, and hot air rises.
Dogs in particular also enjoy pet beds as a personal piece of furniture, since many dogs are not permitted on other furniture. Dogs with shorter coats and large bones are much more likely to injure their bones if their sleeping surfaces are not properly padded or supportive; the spine, elbows, and hips are at the highest risk.
Cats are more flexible, but they enjoy beds, too, and it limits the places you have to vacuum cat hair from when your uncle comes to visit who is allergic to cat hair.
