It seems that pet owners are better adjusted, more independent and more impulsive than people without pets.

A study done by Dr. Jeffrey Kelly of the University of Mississippi Medical Center compared the personality traits of pet owners with non-owners and found that "pet owners as a group exhibit personality characteristics that clearly show adjustment and well being."

You wouldn't think that by looking at the creeps who frequent dog-shows or dress up their animals in Bo Peep outfits.
