With the roots that are found in Peru and have been evident in the country for many years, the largest spoken language throughout all the towns and regions of the area is Spanish. There are two other main languages that are found in the area and these are known as Quechua and Aymara.
The Quechua language is one of the most ancient tongues that are spoken in the area as it dates back to the reign of the famous Inca Empire, the language can be found in other countries apart from Peru and apart from Spanish is one of the most used with 13 million people using it on a daily basis.
The Aymara language is the least spoken of the three main tongues that are uttered in the country but despite this, other 2 million people use this language today. It is commonly found in other countries apart from Peru (such as Bolvia) and was originally started with a collection of symbols; the Latin alphabet was used to help create the Aymara language. In 1985 it was given a new spelling system by the Peruvian governments known as the Official Alphabet or Unified Alphabet.
