• One area you should pay a visit to is the Balneario de Punta Hermosa part of Lima. It is a traditional sea resort with beaches and blue oceans spanning for miles around. It has a variety of seafood restaurants, hotels and nightclubs that are always thriving - especially throughout the summer months. During the day, the area offers a nice relaxing atmosphere so you can soak up some sun but during the evening transforms into a lively and friendly environment.
• Just a short distance away is the Punta Rocas beach; it is known as a wave-making machine (it is not uncommon for waves to get up to 5 foot) and proves ideals for those surfers. In the past, important surfing championships have been held and there is the occasional chance to enjoy the odd outdoor rock concert during the warmer and most importantly drier months.
