Today you will be driving over to Valley Forge National Park, which is about 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia. Valley Forge was the camp for the fledgling Continental army, under George Washington’s leadership, in December 1777 - June 1778. The park includes an information center, a driving tour of the encampment with some battle cannons and soldier lodging cabins, the house where George Washington stayed while encamped there and several historical markers and monuments.

After a morning of history, it is time to shop at the King of Prussia Mall. This mall is one of the largest shopping malls in the country, with over 400 stores.  Best of all, no taxes are charged on clothing in Pennsylvania.
