You can use helium balloons to sell "Balloon-O-Grams." People can purchase a balloon for a small fee and attach a note to it. Members of the fundraising organization deliver the balloons to recipients on a designated day. The organization only pays for the rental of a helium tank, the balloons themselves, and a few supplies. You can price the balloons anywhere from $2 to $5 each and make a large profit per balloon sold.
At your next fundraising event you can hold a balloon raffle. You simply fill balloons with pieces of paper indicating either increments of money, coupons for free products (donated from a corporate sponsor) or a "thanks for playing" card. You sell the balloons for a certain amount (which you set depending on your demographic), and at the end of the event you have everyone pop their balloons to see what they have won.
