One major benefit of purchasing teak furniture is that it can be stored outside all year round and will not experience any problems when the hotter months come round again.

The only time you can expect problems is for example if you were to store it in a warm environment then move it to a damp, cold shed in which problems like wood cracking are likely to occur. If you really need to store any furniture outdoors then ensure that there are no changes in the atmosphere because this is when it may become damaged.

Top Tip: Painting teak is not recommended because natural oils found in the wood will cause paint to bubble up and this results in the need to re-sand and attempt to restore the natural finish. Let its natural beauty speak for itself.
