What are the boundaries of your imagination? This is the limit to the design you can choose to have on a fire back. Do you like astronomy? There are fire backs depicting the rings of Saturn or maybe, you would prefer Haley’s Comet. Do you have a family that is rich in history? You may want your coat arms. Want to show your Patriotism? Get one with Old Glory or an Eagle. Are you a history nut? Actually I am not even going into that subject. The list exceeds my capacity to write. Basically, if you want it, there is a pretty big chance you will be able to find. If you can not find what you are seeking, contact a company who hand casts their own designs. For a bit of a premium you might be able to get one custom made.
