While Tulsa isn’t home to any major professional sports teams, there are still several opportunities to take in quality sporting events in town. If you’re a baseball fan, the Tulsa Drillers are a minor league team playing in the Colorado League. If basketball is more your taste, the Tulsa 66ers play in the National Basketball Association’s Developmental League. This gives you an opportunity to see tomorrow’s NBA stars before they arrive! If it’s football you seek, Tulsa is home to one of the most entertaining sports around, the Arena Football League. The Talons are Tulsa’s team in this league. Minor league hockey (the Tulsa Oilers) is also available.

Tulsa is also home to several institutions of higher learning (listed below), most of which offer exciting sports of all kinds. And don’t forget high school football, which is almost as big in Tulsa as it is in Texas!
