New Zealand is one of many countries throughout the world that has more than a couple of different religions and these are quite equally split across the region.
The most common is Roman Catholic but the percentages do vary quite widely and you will come across a mixture of religions when visiting the local areas. 14.9% are Anglican which is closely followed by the widely followed Roman Catholic religion at 12.4%, Presbyterian 10.9%, Methodist just 2/9%, Pentecostal 1.7%, Baptist 1.3%, other Christian 9.4%, other 3.3%, unspecified 17.2% and the highest percentage of 26% is known not to be part of any religion.
