For your final day in Amsterdam, catch up on any of the things you may have missed or want to revisit. If you feel like you have conquered the city, you might want to consider a trip to one of Amsterdam’s nearby cities.
 
Haarlem is just 12 miles west of Amsterdam and it is one of the windmill-and-tulip towns you probably have in your mind when you envision the Netherlands.
 
Delft is 34 miles southwest of Amsterdam, and it is home to the famous blue-and-white porcelain. As an interesting aside, Delft is the traditional burial place of the Dutch royal family.
 
Leiden, 23 miles southwest of Amsterdam, is another tulip town. In fact it was the birthplace of the Dutch tulip trade. It was also home to the Mayflower-sailing Pilgrims.
