A common saying about Nebraska is that if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change. The state experiences wide variations in seasonal weather. In the winter months, Nebraska receives on average between 25 and 35 inches of snow annually. During spring and summer, thunderstorms are quite common, as well as the occasional tornado.
