There are thirteen campgrounds at Glacier, totaling up to over 1000 campsites. Some of these are available by reservation -- those at Saint Mary Campground and at Fish Creek. Call (800) 365-CAMP, or go to www.nps.gov/glac/activities/bcguide1.htm to download the Glacier Backcountry Guide and the reservation application forms. The campsites that are not available by reservation are available instead on a first-come, first-served basis. The most popular months for camping are July and August; during these months, many campers reserve their sites by noon or even 10:00 AM. For details by campsite on camper/RV accommodation and facilities, go to www.NPS.gov/GLAC/activities/camping.htm . The campsites cost $12-17 per night.

There are also other types of lodging available in Glacier. In all locations, seasonal availability and accessibility vary, so look up the facility and phone to check opening and closing dates.
