These amusement parks are located on the northeast side of Kansas City, MO, and have attractions for all ages.
Debuting this year at Worlds of Fun is the new $12 million Patriot inverted rollercoaster. Hanging beneath the track with legs dangling, thrill seekers are exposed to height and speed as they climb a 149-foot lift hill, then plunge down a curved drop reaching a maximum speed of nearly 60 miles per hour.
Despite adding this new, record-setting coaster, World of Fun is reducing admission prices for the 2006 season, so this is a perfect year to visit.
Oceans of Fun is a large water park featuring water slides, wave pools, swimming and more. Each park is big enough to spend an entire day, or discount tickets for visiting both parks in one day are also available.
