» Branson--More than a Music Town
Before Branson was known for live music performance, people were coming here to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. The White River Basin makes up these three lakes: Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals Lake, all of which have open waters year round.
· Table Rock Lake—The Table Rock Dam was finished in 1958 making Table Rock Lake a 52,300 acre lake nationally known for bass and other types of fishing. Here, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner cruises as well as other riverboat and recreational activities.
· Lake Taneycomo—When the Table Rock Dam was completed, it changed Lake Taneycomo into a cold water fishery, making it an ideal place for trout fishing. Lake Taneycomo is also used for a variety of recreational water activities and sight seeing cruises including The Sammy Lane Pirate Cruise and The Lake Queen breakfast, lunch, and dinner cruise boat.
· Bull Shoals Lake—A wide variety of fish can be found in Bull Shoals Lake and it is a popular one for tournament fishing. This lake has a more rough, undeveloped shoreline and provides public access points for various water activities and houseboat rentals.
