If you don’t feel like you have to experience everything in your one day, then you have many options to chose from for your trip through Branson:

• Silver Dollar City—This late 19th century theme park is chock full of things to do whether you have children with you or not. They offer 30 rides and attractions, 60 specialty shops, hundreds of demonstrations of period crafts and skills, restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as more than 40 shows of live entertainment everyday. If you time your trip just right, it might coincide with one of Silver Dollar City’s six family festivals held between April and December each year.
• If you came to Branson to see shows and want to see more than one on your trip, then you are in luck. Many of Branson’s shows offer performances in the morning, afternoons, and evenings, which could feasibly allow you to see three in one day. To spice up your show day a little, you might consider taking one of Branson’s riverboat dinner cruises complete with nighttime entertainment. The Showboat Branson Belle is a popular choice.
• Another option for the Branson area is to stay in a lakeside resort and spend your time leisurely fishing and golfing. You could choose to partake in one of the musical opportunities of Branson, or simply enjoy your day taking in the fresh air and bounty of the Ozark Mountains.
• Perhaps your group enjoys the shopping scene. Branson is home to three large outlet malls, in addition to hundreds of other specialty shops, boutiques, craft wares, flea markets, and more. In Branson you could literally shop ‘til you drop! Spend your day exploring the stores, and enjoy one of Branson’s many fine casual dining restaurants and a show at night.
• Branson is also home to several nice museums. If you wish, you could spend your day touring the American Presidential Museum in the morning, the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Museum in the afternoon, and follow that up by relaxing at the Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show in the evening. Other museum options include the Hollywood Wax Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, the Veteran’s Memorial Museum, and the World’s Largest Toy Museum.
• Harold Bell Wright’s story “The Shepherd of the Hills” began Branson tourism in 1907. You could choose to spend your day reliving that era as well as the story itself by exploring the The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead during the day and attending the outdoor theatrical production of the same name in the evening. The drama based on the “Shepherd of the Hills” novel combines drama, music, and comedy and can be enjoyed by all ages.
