Morning Activity: Make your way to Motown Historical Museum at 2648 W. Grand Blvd. When you visit this museum, which is located in an old brick house, you will be standing on the site where the Motown sound of the 1960s began. Guided tours are offered at regular hours. The museum opens at 10 a.m.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch at Loco Bar and Grill, 454 E. Lafayette, where you will find Tex-Mex cuisine with plenty of spice.
Afternoon Activity: Enjoy a river cruise with Diamond Jack’s River Tours. Tours depart from docks at Hart Plaza. The dock is at the foot of Bates and Atwater, between the Renaissance Center and Hart Plaza. The closest parking lot is at the Miller Parking Garage at Bates and Atwater. The two-hour tours depart at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 8 through September 8.
Dinner: Enjoy Hockeytown Café, 2301 Woodward Ave. for dinner this evening.
Located next to the Fox Theater, the Hockeytown Café is a classic sports bar.
