A Week-Long Itinerary

When staying the week in Baltimore, a central location is best to strike out from. Each neighborhood has its own shopping, dining and landmarks, so a day by day experience of the city will give one the best bang for the buck. As Baltimore is a coastal town, a lot of the comings and goings are to be had around the harbor. Consequently, the Inner Harbor district of downtown is home to some of the city's main attractions. Fells Point, a notable historical district, is one of the most populated areas in the city, with many of Baltimore’s 63,000 + residents having chosen to live and work here, while many more live in the downtown area. Baltimore was historically a major US seaport, and continues this tradition to this day. Each of the city’s neighborhoods has its own unique flavor and personality, making the neighborhoods themselves ideal to plan a week around. What follows is an itinerary for the week, with each day including a landmark to be seen, a market to experience shopping and dining, or perhaps a neighborhood to explore and enjoy.
