• Transport by Ferry--Maldives offers a ferry service from the airport island to the capital every 15 minutes throughout the daytime hours, and every 30 minutes after midnight. The fee for this service is USD 1 during the day, and USD 2 after midnight.
• Tranport by Dhoni--A dhoni is a small, flat-bottomed fishing boat, which can be chartered for use around the islands as well. The ferry terminal at the landing by the airport will have more information about hiring a dhoni while you stay in Maldives.
• Transport by Air--Special air transfer trips are available by the Maldivian Air Taxi and the Trans Maldivian Airways. These air trips are available to most of the resorts on the islands. If you opt to travel around the islands this way, it is better to have an agent or resort operator make the arrangements on your behalf, as the various resorts usually have pre-set arrangements with the chartered flights already in place.
