Luggage Set Pieces

Suitcase
The most standard and necessary: the basic suitcase. Suitcases can vary in size, but 24” to 36” is typical. Some luggage sets will include two sizes. Suitcases can be made of various materials, which will be discussed later.
Garment Bag
Designed to carry clothes on hangers, a garment bag is an important piece in a luggage set. Typical lengths are 40”, 54” and 60”.
Carry-On
In the past, a carry-on was little more than a tote bag to match your suitcase. Modern carry-on bags are more like miniature suitcases. They have the same shape and wheel placement of a suitcase, but are sized to qualify as carry-on luggage on an airplane. They can vary in size, but are usually not larger than 22”.
Totes and Sport Bags
Many luggage sets still include a more casual tote or sport bag. These bags are perfect for car traveling, but they can also function as beach bags, oversized handbags, or large shopping totes.
