Watering your lawn

This is the number one thing when maintaining the quality of your lawn. The easiest way to water your lawn is to break out the hose and a sprinkler. Most communities during the summer require that you water your lawn in the evening hours because it helps more and it also is more ecological friendly. Some communities even say that you can only water your lawns every other day according to your address, so that water is not wasted every evening. Watering your lawn during hot summer months keeps the color and feel of your lawn healthy. Also keep a close eye on the natural weather. If the weather has been hot and dry, then you may want to water your lawn more frequently. However, while over-watering does not happen as much as under-watering, it still happens and needs to be taken into account when the lawn has gotten a lot of rain.

Many people like to use a water sprinkler system. This is a very positive thing and a negative thing. One of the positives is that these sprinklers are usually planned professionally and will provide adequate water to the entire area. Also, it is easy. You don't have to move the sprinkler and hose around every half-hour. Some of the negatives are that most people put their sprinkler on a schedule. Schedules don't work very well with weather. Why turn on your sprinkler for every third day, when the day it is on there is a thunderstorm? So the second negative is that it also sometimes wastes too much water with over-watering.
