• Keep the fertilizer out of the reach of children and animals.
• Always use gloves when working with fertilizer because it is a chemical.
• If you get fertilizer on you, wash it off immediately.
• Walk behind a spreader at a good pace and make a pattern that covers the entire lawn once.
• Fertilizing a dry lawn can burn stressed grass.
• Store the fertilizer in a dry place.
• Keep children and pets off of the lawn until it has been watered completely.
• Buying an annual bag of fertilizer is less expensive than buying it in individual bags.
• Never apply Weed and Feed just before rain. It will only wash away which harms the environment.
