The Entertainment Capital of the World could also be dubbed the Food Capital of the World. There is no shortage of fantastic dining options in Las Vegas, with offerings ranging from extravagant buffets to fine cuisine at celebrated restaurants.

Several local restaurants are done in the grand style that is synonymous with Las Vegas. At Aureole, wine angels rise and fall on a pulley to find your wine selection on a 2-story tower. Your martini will never get warm at Red Square, where the bar top is made of ice.

Bargains abound in Las Vegas, where marquees along the Strip advertise the renowned $5.99 prime rib specials. In addition, a visit to Las Vegas would not be complete without sampling one of the city’s famous buffets, available in nearly every hotel.

Experimentation is the key to the $25 Bellagio weekday buffet and $32 on Fridays and Saturdays, with more gourmet entrees. Exotic foods such as wild boar, buffalo, squid, clams, sushi, and dishes you won't recognize by name or sight are common. Be sure to take small portions so you can sample the extensive variety and leave room for the impressive assortments of fancy cakes and pies for dessert.
The $25 Paris dinner buffet features many French cuisine dishes and at the end of the hot food line are two dessert crepe stations where they make your crepe while you wait. Be sure to save room for a berry crepe topped with raspberry sauce and whipped cream.

Dinner buffets will typically end anywhere from 9:30 to 10:30 pm. If you missed them due to a busy evening or long gaming session, check out the all-night buffet at the Boardwalk starting at 11 pm.
The classic Las Vegas cheap buffet dinner is getting harder to find these days. The center-Strip Imperial Palace has the Emperor's Buffet for less than $10.00. The north end of the Strip has Circus Circus for less than $10 and Sahara for less than $8 during the week and less than $10 on Saturdays, and downtown has Gaughan's Plaza for only $9.
