This museum adds a little bit of history to how any fires that may have broken out in the area and how it would have been dealt with during the early 19th century.
Fires have always affected the countryside and it cannot be ignored but in the earlier centuries, the equipment used was very basic and the Clear Lake museum showcases some of the styles that were once used, I can guarantee you will be surprised. For example in 1883 a hand pulled cart with hose and fire extinguishers were used which took time and could have resulted in more damage. The machine advancements have come along way since then but in this century it was all that was available. Admission to the museum is free but donations are welcomed.
