As with many places throughout the United States each city has a history to speak of and Illinois is no different. It offers a rich and varied history and with numerous stately homes and attractions, it will teach people of all age’s real educational value.
This great state is known as the “Land of Lincoln” because this is where the 16th president spent many years of his life.
Illinois gives off the impression that a lot of things have never happened before like Carol Moseley Braun was the first black woman to be part of the Senate in 1992. Each town in Illinois has a story to tell and no matter where in history a major event occurred, whether it be when the first tribes settled on the river banks or to more recent occurrences, there is plenty of stories that Illinois in general has to tell.
